Bedroom loft conversion in a two bed terraced house

Project Information:  This was a dormer extension to a two bedroom terraced house, installing the new staircase above the exisitng staircase.

This professional couple in Gillingham, who’s teenage son was moving back home, struggled for months trying to find a builder and architect, who could design a loft conversion, when space was at a premium in such a small terraced house.  They wanted to do this without having to lose half a bedroom. They contacted us, who planned and designed for them the ultimate living space. We constructed a large dormer, to the rear of the property. Building and placing the new stairs, directly above the existing in the house. Meaning they didn't lose any existing space. The result was a huge stylish bedroom, so he could entertain friends as well as have his own privacy.
